Monthly Wrap Ups

September Wrap Up

What even is time?? Seriously, this entire month went by so fast. Like whoosh, now it is October. Not being able to go out and about has messed up my perspective on time completely. I mean, I can’t believe that I started this blog 3 months ago, or that I started school 1 month ago. Umm, excuse me, but wasn’t that just yesterday??

  • Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

  • The Elite by Kiera Case ⭐️
  • Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • The Selection by Kiera Cass ⭐️⭐️
  • Stars Above by Marissa Meyer ⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Winter by Marissa Meyer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Cress by Marissa Meyer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

  • Cinder by Marissa Meyer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
  • Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • I got my first ever click from the search engines. Super excited! eeeeeeee!!!
  • I created some new graphics and dividers and such to spice up my posts even more. They are more spread out and cohesive theme wise. They made my post look so different… I hope in a good way??
  • I got more consistent with my Pintresting. I try to dedicate Pin time and create new images and posts multiple times a week.
  • I forgot how much I dislike book projects. I mean I like to read, so book projects should be right up my alley, right? Wrong! I love critically thinking and writing about books, but when I’m forced to do it it feels like the words of bookish wisdom just get sucked out of mind. What are words? What are books? I don’t know *dramatic sigh*
  • I wish I would have read the Lunar Chronicles when I was younger. It is definitely a milder young adult fantasy/science fiction series that I would have adored a few years back. Not that I didn’t love it now, I truly did, I just think if I would have read it all those years ago I would have appreciated certain things about it even more. Plus, I was in a very deep dystopia and science fiction phase.
  • Guess who got her Driving permit! Yay! Watch out roads, here I come.
  • I get most of my books from CloudLibrary through the local library. Especially with Covid, I heavily rely on ebooks. The app was updated and I am NOT a fan.
    • CloudLibrary keeps glitching and doesn’t remember what page I’m on. I will be on chapter 4 and then all of a sudden it jumps me to the middle of chapter 87. It is so frustrating because first of all spoilers and secondly I can’t remember exactly where I was so I end up rereading a part like three times.
    • The update messed up all of my ebooks images because now the cover has the little toolbar on it and the page number at the bottom. Come on Cloudlibrary, you are messing up my Instagram feed argh!
    • Now I can highlight! The one feature I always wished CloudLibrary had was a highlighting feature. The only problem there is no way to see what I highlighted after I return the book. So I would have to go hunt for my highlights??
  • I listened to Folklore for the first time this month! Ahh I’m obsessed. Again, I should have listened to it sooner because the lyrics and storytelling is just wow. My favorite song is the last great american dynasty, just in case anyone was wondering 🙂
  • My family and I are rewatching all of the Avengers movies together. The first time we watched them in order of release date, but now we are watching them in order of the timeline. Even though I have seen them all, it is still fun trying to explain the plots to my very confused brother.

How was your month? Anything exciting happen? How many books did you read? Which one was your favorite? Do you have a favorite Marvel movie?? Did you listen to any good music?
